Veet EasyWax

I was recently sent the Veet EasyWax Electrical Roll-on Kit to try by the lovely people at Veet.

Now, it’s fair to say that I have not been looking forward to testing this product.  I have only ever been brave enough to have my eyebrows waxed in a Beauty Salon and I winced when that was done.  So I have been putting this trial off.

But tonight was the night to face my fear.  We have a Christening to go to tomorrow, the weather is actually improving and my legs will be on full show.  So I took a deep breath and decided to be brave.

The instructions with the kit tell you to insert the wax cartridge into the unit and heat for 20 minutes.  The cartridge clicks in really easily and then you roll a small area of your leg with wax, if the wax runs smoothly you are ready to begin.  Well it didn’t, so I checked the instructions and it said to heat for an additional 5 minutes and test again.  So I built myself up for it again, and again the wax wasn’t ready.  In the end I heated it for another 5 minutes and that did the trick.

So I rolled the wax down my leg, it goes on really evenly when it’s warm enough, put a strip over the wax, leaving a bit at the end free of wax to hold onto.  I rubbed over the strip downwards, took a deep breath, held the skin at the bottom of the strip, tight, and pulled the strip back quickly.  Do you know what?? It didn’t hurt at all!  I was in shock.

Thinking that was beginners luck, I repeated the process again and again and I can confirm that I am now in love with this product.

I have waxed both of my legs, it was easy, left no mess, and DIDN’T HURT 🙂

I know feel slightly less nervous about trying the Bikini and Underarm cartridge, but will save that for another day.

I am really impressed, as will my friends be in me, as they know what a wimp I am!

disclaimer: I was sent this product for the purpose of review, my comments, however, remain my own honest thoughts

Lol I have one of those at home and was totally frustrated at first use. No wax ever came out 😦 perhaps will try to plug it in for half hour before use next time …

    • I did think I was doing something wrong, but 30 minutes and it was working for me, when I put the review on Veet website though I saw someone waited an hour – seems a bit random
