Ok, so I’m normally fine with creepy crawlies, my Dad is a very keen Entomologist, so I grew up surrounded by stick insects, beetles, caterpillars and all sorts of other insects and the like. But head lice have always filled me with dread.
I can remember being at work years ago, and a friend coming in one morning telling me that her kids and their school friends had lice. I was appalled and I spent the rest of the day itching.
Since Christmas, Monkey has come home from Pre-school with more colds than I can count, then chicken pox and so I suppose it’s only natural that lice will be next?? I’m not prepared……. what do I look for, what do I need to buy, do I need to warn my hairdresser on Friday to check me?? I know that it’s very common these days and I should be educated, but I honestly don’t remember lice ever being at school in my time. Perhaps we all had dirty hair back then 🙂
